List of 10 Company Fitted CNG Cars in India

cng cars in india

This is a list of company fitted CNG cars in India. Are you looking to buy a CNG car in India, then this article is for you? I have listed all the CNG cars that are available in India for a family. Please note that I have not listed some CNG vehicles such as Maruti Suzuki Eeco, Hyundai Xcent (both are mostly used for commercial purposes), etc. Otherwise, this list would have 10 company fitted CNG cars in India.

Company Fitted CNG Cars in India

There are 8 cars in this list of CNG cars in India that I have mentioned.

1. Hyundai Aura

Hyundai aura is a compact sedan that has a length of 3995mm and ground clearance of 165mm. In my opinion, Hyundai aura is the best value for money CNG car. Here are some reasons:

  1. Mileage on CNG is excellent considering its size and curb weight. The company claim mileage for CNG is around 28 KM/KG. The petrol mileage is 20.5 KM/L
  2. In most CNG cars, you do not have a boot space after CNG fitment, but Aura is a sedan. Therefore, it has a good space in the boot, and you can carry two bags on a long drive. This is the most important point if you are thinking of a CNG car in India. Also, the build quality of this car is good
  3. Affordable and feature-packed car
  4.  Good resale value and service network of Hyundai
  5. Safety features such as 2 airbags, ABS, EBD, child seat anchor points, seat belt warning, engine immobilizer, etc. in all the variants

Things that I don’t like in this car

  • Fixed headrest (in Dzire, they are providing headrests on the front as well as on the backside)
  • The width of the car is 1680mm, and in Dzire, it is 1735mm
  • Glossy black at the rear pillar, which I don’t like (depends on individual opinion)

If you are looking for a spacious car that has good boot space, good mileage, company fitted CNG, good build quality, essential safety features, and a good service network, then Hyundai Aura is currently the best company fitted CNG car in India.

2. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R offers company fitted CNG, and it is one of the highest selling cars in India. These are things that I like about this car:

  • Affordable and low maintenance
  • Excellent Mileage
  • Good height (1675 mm)
  • 170 mm ground clearance, which is decent, and you can easily do long trips at a low cost
  • 341 liters boot space – A big boot space considering the size of this vehicle
  • Standard safety features are available such as 2 airbags, seat belt warning, anti-lock braking system (ABS), engine immobilizer, child safety lock, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and brake assist.

Things that I don’t like in this car

  • 3 Cylinder engine
  • In CNG fitted wagon R, there is minimal boot space left, whereas, in Hyundai Aura, the boot space is decent enough for two bags
  • The touch screen, reverse camera, and Music system are not available.

3. Hyundai Grand i10 Nios

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios also comes with company fitted CNG, and it is a hatchback car. The things that I like about this car:

  • In the top CNG model, you will get alloy wheels, a touch screen, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, a voice command feature.
  • Good mileage
  • All the standard safety features such as 2 airbags, seat belt warning, anti-lock braking system (ABS), engine immobilizer, child safety lock, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), speed-sensing door lock, etc.

Things that I don’t like in this car

  • Expensive when compared to rivals
  • Fixed headrest
  • No boot space to carry a mid-size bag

4. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Ertiga is mostly used for commercial purposes such as taxi, school van, MNC hired cabs for employees, etc., but it is also good as a family car. If you have a family of more than 5 members, then it is one of the best choices considering the price, mileage, features that it offers, ground clearance, and space. These are the things that I like about this car:

  • Spacious and good resale value
  • 7 seater car
  • Decent ground clearance of 180 mm
  • Excellent mileage on CNG (26.2 KM/KG)
  • Decent power and torque – 91 BHP at 6000 RPM and 122 Nm at 4400 RPM
  • Standard safety features are available such as 2 airbags, seat belt warning, anti-lock braking system (ABS), engine immobilizer, child safety lock, speed-sensing door lock, child anchor points, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and brake assist.

Things that I don’t like in this car

  • Tire size and width are small, and this makes it looks ugly.

5. Maruti Suzuki Alto

Maruti Suzuki alto is another CNG fitted car from the company. It is one of the top 10 highest selling cars in India. Things that I like about this car:

  • Affordable and the price is really good at 4.82 Lakh on the road in Delhi
  • Excellent mileage when driving on CNG (31.5 KM/KG company claimed) and it also gives good mileage on petrol as well
  • Standard safety features are available such as 2 airbags, seat belt warning, anti-lock braking system (ABS), engine immobilizer, child safety lock, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and brake assist.

Things that I don’t like in this car

  • 3 Cylinder engine make the cabin a bit noisy
  • Don’t expect power and quick pick up (good for daily life commute to office)
  • 160 mm ground clearance
  • Small boot space
  • No touch screen, music system, voice commands, FM, etc

6. Maruti Suzuki Celerio

Celerio is mostly used as a family car as what I have observed on the roads, and it is also used as a cab in OLA and Uber. The car outside and inside looks good. Personally, I like this car in white color. Things that I really like about this car are:

  • Affordable car for a family
  • Easy to maintain
  • Excellent mileage
  • Decent exterior looks
  • You will get 2 airbags, child safety lock, seat belt warning, ABS, and engine immobilizer in the safety features

Things that I don’t like in this car

  • 3 Cylinder engine
  • It does not provide EBD (electronic brake-force distribution) safety feature
  • No touch screen, Android Auto, Apple car play, music system, FM, etc

7. Hyundai Santro

Hyundai Santro is one of the oldest cars in India. Personally, I don’t like the new Santro looks compared with the previous one. Things that I like about the Hyundai Santro are:

  • Excellent mileage (30 KM/KG – company claimed mileage)
  • Affordable that comes at the price of 6.71 Lakh at Delhi on-road price
  • You will get Android Auto, Apple car play, Touch screen, 4 speakers, GPS navigation system, FM, Voice commands, steering mounted controls, and USB compatibility. So, yes it is a feature-packed car.
  • Decent exterior as well as interior looks
  • You will get 1 airbag, ABS, EBD, child safety lock, seat belt warning, speed-sensing door lock, and engine immobilizer

Things that I don’t like in this car

  • It offers only 1 airbag in the CNG Top variant

8. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso offers company fitted CNG. Personally, I don’t like the look of this car. These are the things that I like about S-Presso:

  • Excellent mileage on CNG as well as on Petrol
  • As Maruti Suzuki car, you will get a good resale value
  • Good ground clearance which is 180 mm
  • ABS, EBD, and brake assist comes in all the CNG variant which is a good thing for the passenger safety

Things that I don’t like in this car

  • 3 cylinder engine
  • It offers only 1 airbag in the CNG base model but you will get 2 airbags in the CNG top model

Conclusion

If your budget is 8 lakh rupees then Hyundai Aura is the best choice. It offers excellent boot space and many other features. Also, the look of this car is better than any other CNG cars that are currently available in the market (my personal opinion). If you have a budget between 4.5 to 6 lakh then Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and Alto are a good choice.
